GUYS! I am so excited about this VoxBox that I got!! I seriously love everything in it. Yall can check out my very first youtube video EVER of me unboxing everything: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4R0ZNP7ffY as long as you don’t judge me. Ya’ll remember how sad your first videos were, right? And if it wasn’t awful, you aren’t a human person.
So: it contains: Sour Punch straws and punchies. I remember eating the sour patch rainbow strips or whatever they were while I was in high school, but I had never tried either of these before, and I regret that immensely. These things are addicting and they are my new favorite. The punchies are the best.
Softlips Cube in Pomegranate Blueberry. It smells delicious and it is moisturizing without being sticky, which I hate. It is definitely competition for the eos lip balms.
St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub. I got a full freakin’ size of this baby, so exciting. It smells wonderful, and it hasn’t dried out my skin in the few times that I’ve used it. It is not for the faint of heart, it is definitely a thicker scrub / exfoliator that you can feel taking off the dirt, grime and buildup from your face. I like it though, I’ve just made sure not to use it every day.
L’Oreal Paris Advanced Straight Serum: These came in the little foil packets that are possibly single use (I have pretty long hair, hopefully it’ll be a full use for me). I have an extremely dry scalp that I have to use gross old person shampoo for, so it scares me to use new shampoo, but I’m going to. I just haven’t mustered up the courage yet.
Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun Sunless Tanning Mousse. So, I’m an extremely pale person. Like… sickly pale. By the end of the summer I might have a few freckles, but that’s it. Color never stays on me, I just get burned and then peel, and then I’m pale again. It’s sad. I’ve never used self tanner because I never thought that I could find a shade that worked for me. For the sake of Influenster, I tried this. They sent me the “dark bronze” shade, which I knew wasn’t going to be super successful, but I told myself that I would put it on as thin as possible. I liked the mousse consistency of it, It was easier to smooth out than lotion, and I felt like that kept it from being streaky. I put it on very thin, on my legs only. I loved the color as soon as I put it on, so I was very happy! I got to work a few hours later and noticed a spot on my arm where I got some tanner, and it looked pretty dark… I wore jeans so no one would question why my legs looked like normal peoples legs for once, so I pulled up the bottoms of my pants legs and they are DARK lol. It is nothing insane, It just looks like I’ve been rolling around in red dirt for a few hours. I have no experience with self tanner so I didn’t realize that it would get darker. I like the idea of self tanner, and I liked the texture of this product, so I am going to try to find it in a lighter shade.
Overall, extremely happy with this box. Thank you for reading this ridiculously long post, if anyone read it at all. I love my influenster boxes!
Friendly reminder that Julie Andrews will be 80 this year and she still looks better than you.
I want to be Julie Andrews when I grow up.
